Another nice day, another walk. Walked along the quay where they’re planning on building new restaurants etc! Such a nice view! (Taken with Instagram)
I recycle a plastic base to use for the top of the hat so I could support two pegs for the stand. The base of the hat I had to measure around the hat and make slits in a piece of card. I then pushed these inside the hat and taped them down to make the flat part. As you can see in this photo.
Photos from when I was making the hat. I use card as the starting point to make the rounded shape. Then papier mached over it to make it stronger.
